Wednesday Testimony Meeting: Yielding to God

Yielding to God

"The effect of this Science is to stir the human mind to a change of base, on which it may yield to the harmony of the divine Mind."
(Science and Health, page 162)

Once again, we have a Bible story with a recurring theme: man strays from God’s word or command and finds himself in need of saving! This week’s story is about Jonah and the people of Ninevah. Jonah turns away from God and finds himself in a life or death situation until he yields to God’s call. Jonah realizes that both he and the people of Ninevah need saving when he declares in his prayer to God, “Salvation is of the Lord.” He then finds God is supporting him so he can perform his task.

Join us Wednesday night to hear readings from our Pastor on how each of us has the opportunity many times a day to yield to God’s word and understand how to live it!

If you have an experience to share on this topic or another, we would love to hear from you. I have been noticing a trend, even when giving testimonies in person some write theirs out to read so nothing is missed. I have done this too! It helps me to stay focused on the truths that brought about healing. We will sing hymn 115, 92, and 349 from the Christian Science Hymnal.

Instructions for attending the service online may be found here.
