“…come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.”

(Isaiah 2:5)

Last week’s sermon on Adam and fallen man established the fact that the real man — God’s image — was never fallen or condemned. This week’s sermon explains salvation as the understanding of one’s own spiritual nature, how to distinguish it from the false narrative of a fallen state of man, and how to put this into daily practice through healing and reformation. “…we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

(II Corinthians 3:18)

What we call sunrise is an illusion that the sun is in motion and the earth at rest. We rely on science to explain the earth’s motion that we can neither see nor feel. Mary Baker Eddy discovered that the sensation of the body is also an illusion. Come and join us on Sunday to hear our sermon that teaches us how the body does not feel, and that Mind is primary and supreme. Click the image for more.

“I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God:…As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”

(Psalm 17:6,15)

The origin of man is the subject of religious and scientific inquiries. This week's sermon -- "Adam and Fallen Man" -- confronts an orthodox view that condemns man to a life of evil and suffering. Christian Science teaches that man's real origin is as the idea of infinite Mind. But how can we know this Mind and behold its idea? Click the image for more.

(SH 90:24-25)

The above quote is the closing citation in this week's Christian Science Bible Lesson. Exactly what is the "infinite idea" and how are we to master it? We'll be exploring this idea in the Readings at this Wednesday's meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Click the image for more information.

“…I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

(Romans 8:38,39)

"When will this problem ever be solved? When will my suffering cease?" Questions like these confront everyone. Does God really love you? Yes! Christian Science teaches man's perfection as the actual image of perfect Love and Mind--the Mind that is God. You are free and able to demonstrate that God does not condemn man, but always loves, sustains, and protects His own likeness. Click the image for more.

“Consider and hear me, O Lord my God:. . . I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.”

(Psalm 13:3,5)

What happens to you when you die? This is one of the world's oldest questions. Mary Baker Eddy's profound discovery casts this question in a completely new light. Christian Science teaches that matter is not a self-existent reality but the belief that matter is our substance and governs us. This week's lesson teaches how the Bible, understood spiritually, shows us that there is no material death and no end to man's true existence. Click the image to learn more.

“Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to-day:”

(Exodus 14:13)

The previous week’s sermon on unreality is followed logically by this question: If a harmful, destructive power opposed to God is unreal, then is any condition of unhappiness and ultimately death based on anything real? This sermon — “Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?” — takes the radical position that the cause of disease, ageing, debility, and evil has no foundation and thus can be overcome. (Psalm 107:2,4,6)

Instead of asking why God allows bad things to happen, Mary Baker Eddy counters this false belief with a powerful question in Science and Health: “What is this supposed power, which opposes itself to God?” This week’s sermon entitled “Unreality” assures us that we can safely and effectively forsake the notion of a punishing deity for a spiritual understanding of an infinite God who is divine Principle, Love. Jesus often spoke of the importance of faith, but where does faith come from? How do we know if we have enough faith? How can we increase our faith? Where do we start? These are important questions if we are to ultimately understand who we are and our relation to God. This will be the topic of the Readings this week at our regular Wednesday meeting at 7:30 pm. “. . . if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

(Matthew 17:20)

Christian Science teaches that matter is unreal. But it is important to understand what matter really is, and this is where our Sunday sermon enters. Mary Baker Eddy tells us in Science and Health, "What is termed matter manifests nothing but a material mentality." (S&H page 173) The spiritual interpretation of the Bible substantiates this correct view of matter. Click the photo above to learn more, and come visit us for this powerful message!

(I Timothy 2:5)

"The Science Jesus taught and lived..." (Science and Health page 43). The reality of Jesus today is not a physical presence. It is the Christ, Truth, an incorporeal presence that we know through a spiritual sense. The Samaritan woman at the well personally met Jesus, but the apostle Paul did not. Yet, they both experienced the Christ that is the true healing power Jesus lived to teach. Our sermon this Sunday teaches us this divine presence is at hand for each person. Come join us.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever:” (Isaiah 26: 3,4)

What does a sermon on Mind have to do with the body? To say that matter is not real does not mean we live in a physical world but matter is imaginary. Christian Science teaches that Mind, God, is All-in-all. The only cause and realm of existence is Mind. "Mind and its formations can never be annihilated" (Science and Health page 245). It frees us to keep our thought on our God who is omnipotent Mind. Join us for this radical and inspiring sermon.

What does it say in the Christian Science textbook? Is there proof that "there is no life in matter?" Join us Wednesday at 7:30 pm for answers to these questions. “We should examine ourselves and learn what is the affection and purpose of the heart, for in this way only can we learn what we honestly are.”

(SH 8:28–30)

Too often, self-examination is mistaken for self-recrimination. It is always good to acknowledge mistakes when they are made. But where do mistakes come from? Not from God! God is infinite Mind that encompasses all true knowledge. Not from you and me! Since man is God's image, then man is Mind's expression of all true knowledge.
