"The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do:"
(John 5:19)
When we are presented with a discordant, material picture -- be it physical, relational, financial -- how do we pray for healing? One way is to consider and hold in thought what God knows about the situation, what God knows about us. Click the image for more.

"Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors."
(Science and Health, page 17)

"...The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
(Luke 18:27)
According to modern medical science, "There is no cure for the common cold." Most people just accept that colds are a part of life. That winter is a season for "catching a cold." And after a few days, it will clear up, with maybe a lingering cough for a bit longer. As Christian Scientists, do we allow this concept to creep into our thought? Do we put off praying about it because, well, it will clear up on its own eventually, and we have more important things to pray about? Click the image for more.
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:"
(I John 4:1)
In this final installment of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, we explore what it means to "Enter in at the strait gate." How do we know the way to go? How do we identify "false prophets" or false ideas and so-called material laws? Click the image for more.
"God is working His purpose out…"
(Christian Science Hymnal, 82)
Sometimes the pictures of national division and upheaval, with violent protests (as we’ve recently seen in Minneapolis), can seem overwhelming…and destructive of hope and faith. Jesus warned about (and predicted) the emergence of such pictures, but that we shouldn’t be afraid. He was unshakably confident in His sense of the safety and presence of His Father’s kingdom. How can we pray about this cold weather? Are there examples in the Bible of people who were saved from severe weather. Yes! There are many. This week, we will be reading about Paul's journey to Italy, and how he and the crew of his ship were saved from a severe storm. The angels that comforted and guided him, and the spiritual truth behind that experience. Click the image for more.
"O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people...the truth of the Lord endureth for ever."
(Psalm 117:1,2)
The thing to know about Truth as revealed in Christian Science is that it is perfect, unchangeable, knowable, and eternal. Science and Health reminds us: "Truth is affirmative, and confers harmony." This is certainly worth pursuing! Join us to gain a clearer view of Truth and how accessible it is to you. Click the image for more.
"...stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD..."
(Exodus 14:13)
When is it time to stop "doing things" and just stand still and see the salvation of God? Do we trust God enough to stand back and let Him reveal harmony to us? Join us Wednesday at 7:30 to explore this topic through the words of our Pastor -- the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Click the image for more.
"...You are the children of the living God!"
(Hosea 1:10)
We learn in Christian Science that finite life and love cannot satisfy mankind. But the Bible makes it clear that Life and Love are real, satisfying, and eternal. How can this be? Click the image for more.
"...seek, and ye shall find;"
(Matthew 7:7)
In seeking healing and answers, where do we look? Are we confident we will get the answers we seek? Jesus assures us that we will. Join us Wednesday at 7:30 to explore this topic with our Pastor. Click the image for more.
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me...Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;" (Psalm 51:10,12)
Twice each year our Lesson-Sermon subject is "Sacrament," and this is also our Communion Service. In this service we read aloud the Tenets of Christian Science and kneel in silent communion after our sermon. Click the image for more.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged."
(Matthew 7:1)
As we go through our day, we continually make judgements about the things we see and do. Should I do this or that? Is this good or bad? But what if there were a more sound basis for judgement than what we see with our material senses? A judgement based on divine reality? Join us Wednesday at 7:30 to explore this idea. Click the image for more.
"...who is so great a God as our God?"
(Psalm 77:13)
God is not a theoretical being. God is Life itself, Love itself. The Bible reminds us that God is all-inclusive, that He makes all and that it is as good and perfect as He is. Evidence of God's existence is not found in matter. God is known through spiritual understanding… (Click the image for more.)
"Behold, I make all things new."
(Revelation 21:5)
A new year is upon us, and with it comes New Year's resolutions which typically don't last very long. How can we really be made new this year? What is God's role in our transformation? Join us Wednesday at 7:30 pm as we explore this topic together. Click the image for more.
"Let us thank God for his priceless gift!"
(II Corinthians 9:15)
The birth of Jesus illustrates Divine Science as the authority for knowing and demonstrating the divine facts of life. Both Mary and Joseph were divinely guided to take steps that would bring about the delivery of Christ Jesus into the world. "Holy Ghost. Divine Science; the development of eternal Life, Truth, and Love" (Science and Health, page 588). Click the image for more.
"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him."
(Psalm 62:5)
As we celebrate the arrival of the Christ Child this Christmas Eve, let's join together to consider what we are expecting. What does the arrival of the Christ bring? And can we hold this expectancy of good in our thought at all times? Join us at 7:30 on Wednesday, and expect healing to result. Click the image for more.
"God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light:"
(Psalm 118:27)
Telescopic images show the vastness of space. But there is a deeper question about the nature and origin of everything. Is it merely material? In last week's lesson we learned how harmony, life, and substance are immortal and divine. Mrs. Eddy tells us, "The universe reflects God. There is but one creator and one creation" (Science and Health, page 502). Click the image for more.

"O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good:...He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still."
(Psalm 107:1,29)
How can we be certain of our health and safety? The Bible tells us that "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee." As we grow in certainty that God governs every aspect of our life, we see that trusting in God leads to harmony, life, and immortality. Click the image for more.
"...the earth shall be filled with the glory of God,
As the waters cover the sea."
(Christian Science Hymnal 82)
As the featured article linked below states, "God's purpose is that the whole earth be filled with His beneficial glory, His allness and love. And, truly, nothing can oppose His marvelous plan of salvation for all mankind from error, from sin, sickness, suffering, and death." Click the image for more.

"...he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
(John 3:21)
A cause is that which brings about an effect or a result. The Bible points to God as the one divine Cause of all effects. Correctly interpreted, both the Cause and the effect are not material, but spiritual. Spirit is that which never changes, is all substance, and is eternal. Click the image for more.
"...where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
(Matthew 6:21)
Join us Wednesday at 7:30 for another look at the Sermon on the Mount and the commitment to God that Jesus required. Jesus tells us, "Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth," "No man can serve two masters," "Take no thought for your life," and "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness." "Thus saith the Lord my God;...I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered:"
(Zechariah 11:4; 13:2)
The Ten Commandments lay the foundation for worshipping one infinite God, and against the erroneous gods of a belief that error is as real as Truth. Science and Health refers to "the rightness of all divine action, as the emanation of divine Mind." Click the image for more.
