Curing the Common Cold

"...The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
(Luke 18:27)

According to modern medical science, "There is no cure for the common cold." Most people just accept that colds are a part of life. That winter is a season for "catching a cold." And after a few days, it will clear up, with maybe a lingering cough for a bit longer. As Christian Scientists, do we allow this concept to creep into our thought? Do we put off praying about it because, well, it will clear up on its own eventually, and we have more important things to pray about? Every ill that presents itself to mortal mind must be rejected and healed, and this includes the "common cold" and all it's supposed symptoms. Let's explore this idea together on Wednesday at 7:30, and share with each other our personal experiences of healing. We will be singing hymns 175, 290, and 567 from the Christian Science Hymnal.
